ALYSSA GABRIELLE RODRIGUEZ

Biography

Alyssa is an experienced working actress, makeup artist, producer, and audition coach. A Houston native, Alyssa spent the last 12 years in Los Angeles curating a career in front of and behind the camera. Most notable performances: Grey’s Anatomy, Longmire, 9-1-1 Lonestar, Famous in Love, Shameless, as well as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Silicon Valley, Jane the Virginand actively auditions and trains out of L.A. She studies with Stuart Rogers and trained with Anthony Meindl Studios, Shari Shaw and UCB. She’s been privileged to work with industry greats like: George Wendt, Anthony Anderson, Martha Plimpton, Kevin McKidd (D), Perrey Reeves, Shanola Hampton, Anna Paquin and Jeremy Podsewa (D). She’s starred in a number of national commercials for Walmart, Toyota and NFL, has voiced nearly a dozen Netflix and Amazon foreign series, and has appeared on stage both in L.A. and Texas. She took the stage in 2025 for the STAGE’S Sin Muros Latino Theatre Festival with Houston’s most respected actors, directors and writer and is now serving as a committee member for the Sin Muros 2026 run.  

 

When not on camera, she’s using her 20 years of professional makeup artistry experience glamming clients for headshots, photoshoots, for film/tv, weddings, red carpets as well as lessons. Her makeup business Look The Part Book The Part led her to be on leading L.A. photographer lists like Huebner Headshots, Nogen Beck and Matt Kallish which trained her eye of working with today’s working actors and what is expected to stay competitive. She’s had clients walk the Vanity Fair and The Critics’ Choice Awards carpets and go to network for chemistry reads. 

 

A well-rounded professional, she produced, co-wrote and starred in the short film BASTA, starring Megan Le directed Matt Spelich. In Houston, she co-produced, co-directed and cast an industrial for the billion-dollar company, Schneider Electric. She’s in the process of developing her own projects and has an exciting announcement in 2026. She wants to share her last fifteen years of experience of working and learning from over one thousand auditions with those who are serious about developing a career that is as successful as it is fulfilling. She’s a long-time and pro SAG-Aftra union member, graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Houston, Journalism and interned at ABC News in Houston. She’s happy to be home and connect with the Houston community.
