VASTHY MOMPOINT
Biography
VASTHY MOMPOINT (she/her) is a stage, screen & voiceover actress, singer/songwriter, dancer, director and choreographer.
Mompoint is the daughter of Haitian immigrants and was raised in Hoover, Alabama. Heavily involved on the dance team since high school, Vasthy’s first big dance break was dancing back-up for Michael Jackson at Madison Square Garden. Vasthy furthered her dance education and training at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Soon after her time at AMDA, Vasthy landed her first national tour, Ragtime the Musical. Vasthy went on to make her Broadway debut as a Swing in the original Broadway cast of Good Vibrations. Other Broadway credits include: The Prom, The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical, Rocky the Musical, Soul Doctor, Ghost the Musical, Mary Poppins, and Hot Feet. Vasthy has originated every Broadway musical she has ever been in and has earned the honor of wearing The Legacy Robe (an award for the cast member with the most Broadway ensemble credits) twice, in both Soul Doctor & The Prom. She can be seen in The Prom on Netflix and in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musicalon Paramount+. Vasthy recently made her Broadway debut as a producer of the play Pass Over.

Vasthy has choreographed on set for several Hollywood actors, including Daniel Radcliffe, Nicole Beyer, and Ariana Debose. She served as a choreographer for WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story on Roku and Cursed Friends on Comedy Central, as well as an episode of Miracle Workers on TBS.
During the height of the pandemic, Vasthy launched a virtual children’s entertainment business, Vasthy & Friends, which created virtual opportunities for kids and caregivers across America, bringing joy and creativity through music. In 2022, Vasthy & Friends released an original children’s music album called “Sing, Dance, Play”, available on all music streaming platforms.
Vasthy continues to hone her sketch comedy skills and is currently enrolled in the Saturday Night Live Scholarship program. Vasthy was featured in the CBS comedy showcase in 2020, where she received a holding deal with CBS. She is also on a house team and director at Upright Citizens Brigade called Quick and Funny Musicals. She recently produced a live variety show at the Forget About Spaghetti Festival at The Elysian Theatre in Los Angeles. Vasthy currently resides in LA, but continues to work in New York City and at theaters and schools across the United States. @frostyvasthy
