LAUREN HANCE

LAUREN HANCE is dedicated to creating space for people to connect. She is a producer, playwright, director, and performer. Her plays have been produced across North America and she has worked with theatres such as Southern Rep Theatre, Landing Theatre, Unity Theatre, The Ensemble Theatre, and The Abilene Shakespeare Festival. Some of Lauren’s performance credits include: Dancing at Lughnasa, Much Ado About Nothing, The Story, and Proof. As an instructor, Lauren has taught improv and acting at both the educational and professional levels. Lauren has been a member of  ComedySportz Houston for over 15 years. She currently tours her solo show HOLY O to fringe festivals around the world. She is the host and producer of the podcast, What the Fringe?! Lauren is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild of America, CIPA Fellows 2026, World Fringe Congress, and an accredited reviewer for multiple worldwide fringe festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Lauren holds a BFA in Directing from Abilene Christian University and a MAT in Theology, Arts, and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary.
