MASON DOWD

Mason Dowd is a Houston based Actor, Fight Director, and Stunt Coordinator.  Originally from Pittsburgh, Mason has worked on fights for regional theatres and universities, including Pittsburgh Opera, West Virginia Public Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Bridges Theatre Company, The New Hazlett Theatre, Point Park University, Shady Side Academy, and the University of Houston.  He has served as Stunt/Fight Coordinator for various films.  Mason holds the rank of Advanced Actor Combatant with The Society of American Fight Directors and holds recommended passes in all eight weapons.  Mason has previously taught stage combat at the University of Houston, Houston Grand Opera, the Texas Intensive Stage Combat Workshop, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Pennsylvania Western University.  He received his BFA in Acting from Point Park University and is currently a part of the University of Houston/Alley Theatre MFA Acting program.  He has most recently be seen in Romeo and Juliet at the Alley Theatre.
