Acting for Teen February 14 - May 2, 2026 [12 weeks] Saturdays - 4:00pm-6:30pm Instructor: Jacqueline Vasquez Cost: $540 High School students will focus on the core elements of acting using a mix of exercises and scene work to illuminate Given Circumstance, Intention, Motivation, Action, Stakes, Specificity, Visualization, Being in the Moment, etc. This 12-week class will help push young actors to work that has more clarity and purposefulness, and help them better understanding of how to build effective relationships in their storytelling. INSTRUCTOR Jacqueline Vasquez is a Houston-based teaching artist and performer. She holds a BA in Music and Theatre from Texas Christian University, where she developed strong skills in musical theatre. As a performer, she has worked mostly at the REC Room, having recently played Anna in Spring Awakening, and been involved in readings of new plays. As a passionate teacher, she has been working regularly with the Alley Theatre’s STEM program to help create spaces where imagination, discovery, and emotional truth can thrive.
