Acting I: Foundations of Craft - Section C November 12 - December 10, 2026 (4 of 5 weeks) (Skip November 26) Thursdays - 7:00-9:00pm (2 hours) Instructor: Leslie Lenert Student Limit: 14 Cost: $225 Every section in the Acting I course includes exercise-based work to learn the basic tools of acting, as well as opportunities for applying those tools in scenes or monologues. Each section has a different guiding focus: Section C focuses on CREATING A CHARACTER: This section will focus the basic tools to create well-rounded and believable characters. We will practice both how to do the analytical work of researching a character and how to apply that information to embody a character. Students will explore and get more comfortable with the physical and vocal choices that are at their disposal and useing those tools to embody many different characters. Scene work will focus on building the confidence to analyze what a script says about the character as well as making clear, specific choices to build character details that are not directly given. * This class is for adults 18 and above.
