The Art of the TV Co-Star January 30 - February 20, 2026 (4 weeks) Fridays - 7:30-9:30pm Instructor: Alyssa Gabriel Rodriguez Student Limit: 12 Cost: $240 In this four-week class, we’ll take a deep dive into the unique realities and challenges of co-star and guest star roles on network television. We’ll explore how different networks approach tone and storytelling, and how to clearly define your character’s purpose in a scene. You’ll receive specific, actionable feedback on your work, along with weekly exercises and homework designed to sharpen your audition technique. All scenes will come from real television audition material Alyssa has collected over the past 12 years working in Los Angeles. Beyond scene work, you'll learn practical insights and hard-earned lessons about navigating the ever-evolving film and television industry. And as more film and television production continues to move into our area, it’s never been more important to understand the craft required to book and deliver these roles with confidence and consistency. INSTRUCTOR Alyssa is an actress, makeup artist, producer, and audition coach, who spent 12 years in LA landing roles on Grey’s Anatomy, Longmire, 9-1-1 Lonestar, Famous in Love, Shameless, as well as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Silicon Valley, and Jane the Virgin. In addition to her successful acting career she has more than 20 years experience as a professional make-up artist for headshots, photoshoots, for film/tv, weddings, red carpets as well as lessons. Her makeup business is Look The Part Book The Part.
