Creating a Fringe Show September 12 - October 24, 2026 [6 out of 7 weeks] (Gap Week : October 10) Saturday Evenings - 7:00pm-10:00pm (3 hours) Instructor: Lauren Hance Cost: $335 This course is your launchpad into the fringe world. Lauren Hance guides students through the full process of building a tour-ready fringe show, from concept to application-ready production. By the end of this course, you will have a blueprint for creating a tour-ready fringe show, a working understanding of the worldwide fringe network and how to apply and participate, and the tips, tricks, and inside knowledge needed to navigate the fringe scene with confidence. Students will brainstorm their fringe show concept and have opportunities to workshop portions of their material throughout the course. You will leave prepared to apply to the Edinburgh Fringe and festivals around the world. Through lively discussion, hands-on exercises, and personalized guidance, this course will give you the tools you need to launch your journey as a fringe performer and self-producer. This class is open to actors and theatre artists of all experience levels. 18+, graduated high school. LAUREN HANCE Lauren Hance has spent the past five years touring the worldwide fringe circuit with her multi-award-winning solo show HOLY O. She is the host/producer of the podcast What the Fringe?!, an accredited media reviewer with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, a member of the World Fringe Congress, a 2026 CIPA Producer Fellow, and a member of the Dramatist Guild of America.
