Filmmaking for Teens March 14 - April 18, 2026 (6 weeks) Saturdays - 10:00am-12:00pm Instructor: Byron Franco Student Limit: 12 Cost: $360 This Practical Filmmaking course offers hands-on training designed to broaden your ability to be a creative storyteller. You'll learn how to develop a product, organize a production team, clarify the various jobs on a set, work on logistics, sharpen skills behind the camera, and edit your product. With a combination of in-depth discussions, practical exercises, hands-on projects, and personalized feedback, this course will introduce you to the world of film directing. Teen 14-18 welcome. * This class is for actors 12-18. INSTRUCTOR Byron Franco is a filmmaker/actor with over 10 years experience in the Houston film industry. In addition to writing/directing his own short films, he has acted in over 30 short/feature length productions. He has taught various classes for students of all skill levels and believes in an active learning approach. He's excited to improve your self-tape audition and on-set skills through a mix of warmups, scene work, and immersive training.
