Summer Film Studio for Teens August 17 - August 29, 2026 Monday - Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm Instructor: Sara Gaston Cost: $545 Created for teens passionate about filmmaking, this two-week summer intensive explores the core skills behind making movies, including storytelling, acting for the camera, and collaborative production. Guided by experienced film professionals, students learn through hands-on projects, improvisation, and scene work in a creative, supportive environment. The program concludes with a screening of the students’ work for family and friends. Monday-Friday, August 17-21 - 9am-3pm Monday-Friday, August 24-28 - 9am-3pm Saturday, August 29 - 11am- 5pm - (Final Screening at 3pm) INSTRUCTOR Sara Gaston is an award-winning actor, writer, and filmmaker. She's a life-long student of craft and has been a teaching artists since 2007. She has her own studio. but has taught at Alley Theatre, AD Players and the JCC in Houston. She studied at University of Texas in Austin, and frequently appears on Houston stages. As a filmmaker, film producer and screenwriter she loves sharing her growing knowledge of the business of filmmaking.
