SFAH Summer Studio for Young Performers Rising 6th-8th Graders June 8 - June 20, 2026 Monday - Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm Instructors: Jasmine Christyne Cost: $545 Designed for middle school students with a serious interest in pursuing acting, this two-week summer intensive offers young performers a deep dive into the fundamentals of professional actor training. Led by experienced theatre professionals, each day will include classes in acting technique, voice and speech, movement for the actor, improvisation, and scene study. Students will work closely with teaching artists in a focused, supportive environment that encourages risk-taking, creative exploration, and artistic growth. The week will culminate in a showcase of work-in-progress scenes and monologues. Ideal for students who are passionate about acting and eager to train like a pro, this camp is both challenging and inspiring--building confidence, craft, and community. Space is limited to ensure individualized attention. Early registration is recommended. SCHEDULE Monday-Friday - June 1-5 - 9:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday - June 8-12 - 9:00am-3:00pm Saturday, June 13 - 11am-5pm - (Showcase @ 3pm) INSTRUCTOR Jasmine Christyne received her theatre training from The University of Wisconsin Green-Bay with a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance, and continued training at The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. She is a multifaceted creator of new work and is a passionate teacher of both theatre and dance. She has worked on many Houston stages as an actor and regularly dances with The Pilot Dance Project.
