Description

SPONTANEITY with Elizabeth Bunch Freeing Your Impulses Through Preparation December 2 - December 16, 2026 (3 weeks) Wednesday - 7:00-9:00pm (2 hours) Instructor: Elizabeth Bunch Student Limit: 20 Cost: $180 In this class, we'll develop a practice and mindset that creates greater freedom and creativity in your work. Drawing on fundamentals rooted in Atlantic Theater Company's approach-"think before acting so you can act without thinking"-you'll build the courage to trust your choices and commit fully to the moment. From there, we'll explore how physical action can awaken those choices, creating braver instincts in rehearsal and performance. The goal is to cultivate the spontaneity, freedom, and trust you need to live truthfully onstage. No advanced preparation is needed, although scenes or monologues you are currently working on can be brought into class for us to examine if we have time. INSTRUCTOR Elizabeth Bunch is an actor, director, and teacher. She has been a member of the Alley Theatre Resident Company since 2006, performing in over 100 productions.
