And leading the way is a significant boost in commercial productions being shot in Texas. But auditioning for and booking commercials is not the same as film, and there are proven techniques to help actors land the job. As a casting director, much of what is currently being submitted never makes it to the clients because of critical mistakes in the audition process. These are often simple guidelines that could otherwise have gotten the actor seen and considered for the work.
